Library

One of the most important achievements of Pavlina Veremi is the creation of the Library. She ensured the preservation and restoration of the valuable books rescued from the library of Koula Pratsika, and proceeded to purchase new books, while at the same time, appealed to art enthusiasts to donate money for book acquisitions. The Library was founded in 2001 and today it numbers 6,500 volumes. It is organized according to the Dewey system, has photocopiers, audiovisual media and information leaflets, and much of its material has been digitised and is accessible in digital format. The library is visited by dance students and professional dancers as well as by members of other dance schools in Athens and abroad, and by researchers from different fields of interest, such as architecture, theatre, new media, law, education and psychology.

The Library serves as a springboard for systematic research on the art of dance. It holds the first official documentation of contemporary Greek dance and it consists an important information hub, where material such as books, videos and magazines are collected and evaluated.
